Before & Aftercare
Microblading is a safe, easy and effective way to give you the brows of your dreams and when you see one of our brow artists at I-Brauhaus-Chicago you know you are putting your face in the hands of the people that create the best and most beautiful eyebrows in Chicago. To help you get the most out of your eyebrow microblading, we offer you these before and after care guidelines.
Before Your Microblading While it is a simple procedure there are still a number of steps we recommend you take to get your skin ready for the best brows in town. Avoid sunburn or any chemical or laser skin treatment prior to your procedure - your skin should not be in any healing state before your microblading. If you are on medication such aspirin, vitamin E or anything else that thins the blood, talk to your doctor prior to booking to discuss if you can stop it 48-72 hours leading up to your microblading and if not please let one of our team know. Limit alcohol, coffee and anything with caffeine in it 24 hours before your procedure and please discuss any medical issues with one of our team. While microblading is safe it isn’t suitable for everyone. Any questions at all, please give one of our friendly team members a call. We offer the most exceptional microblading procedures in Chicago and our team is there to assist you every step of the way. Microblading Aftercare Following your microblading procedure the skin underneath will be red and might look a little darker than you expected - don’t worry, it is totally normal for it to take 7-14 days for the pigment to settle to its proper shade. Before you know it, you’ll have gorgeous, glam natural looking eyebrows that’ll last up to 18 months. Immediately after your microblading procedure it’s important to be gentle with your gorgeous new arches to allow the pigment to settle as it should. Other than applying the healing balm you should avoid getting your brows wet or wearing make-up for a week after your microblading. You will also need to avoid saunas and anything that will make you sweat excessively until you have had a follow-up appointment with one of our team. Keep Your Brows Fresh and Bold After the initial two weeks following your microblading procedure the pigment will have settled, and your brows will be looking amazing. To help them stay bold and beautiful for longer you can prevent premature fading of your microblading by being sun-smart. Always use a good sunscreen and limit the amount of exposure your brows get to full sunlight, this will help prevent fade, so your brows last longer. Other than that, you can treat your new brows like you always did, wear make-up and work up a sweat without ever having to worry about how your brows look. Touch Ups You’ve come to our clinic, experienced the best microblading in Chicago and now bad eyebrows are now just a thing of the past. Like any cosmetic tattooing though, microblading of the eyebrows does fade over time, so to keep that gorgeous, full and natural look, we recommend ongoing maintenance with a touch-up at least once a year. This is a simple procedure where one of our technicians fills in any faded areas to keep those brows bold. |
